Phoenix’s most popular historic neighborhood with more than 900 unique homes built as far back as the early 1920s. Located just north of Downtown and close to many attractions.

You’ll see residents of Willo Historic District walking and biking the streets adorned with charming, well-kept homes that have lush lawns, trees and eye-catching architectural styles. Willo Historic District’s Friendly Community Vibe, the community is very friendly and active. They hosts an annual street fair and home tour that brings in thousands of visitors from all over the valley (you can even spot our Joe Janus Real Estate booth at the street fair!). Willo residents also hold collective garage sales and there is a little neighborhood library in front of one of the homes where neighbors are invited to exchange books for free.
Location, Location, Location… Many attractions such as the Phoenix Art Museum, Heard Museum, Symphony Hall, Phoenix Theatre and sports venues are close by. Homes for sale in the Willo District are also conveniently located to the valley’s freeways, public transportation and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
Grid Bike Share Program
You’ll also see some bright green bikes parked together at hubs. These are part of the Grid Bike Share program in Phoenix where you are able to reserve a bike, jump on and ride it around. You’ll often see residents riding them to nearby restaurants and events.
Willo Historic District & Architectural Styles
The neighborhood encompasses many historic architectural styles, from Bungalows, Tudors and Spanish Colonials in the southern part, to ranch-style homes in the north. You’ll also find that a lot of the homes have guest houses which residents use for guests, studios or rental income.
